Canada Day kicks off with the Nelson Lions Pancake Breakfast!
Beginning at 8am July 1st, the Nelson Lions Club will once again take over the 500 block of Baker St. for our annual Canada Day Pancake Breakfast fundraiser.
Enjoy pancakes, sausages, coffee, juice and more before you head to Lakeside Park for a day of July 1st festivities.
Tea & Textiles
The J.B. Fletcher Museum in Ainsworth will be hosting gatherings for fibre enthusiasts and tea lovers to come and work on their knitting, crochet, embroidery, and spinning projects while connecting with fellow crafters. These gatherings will occur the first Wednesday of every month from 9-12. Drop ins welcome.
Sinixt Canoe Journey at Lakeside Park
Sinixt paddlers will launch in Kaslo on June 27, camping in Garland Bay and Kokanee Creek, and arrive at Lakeside Park in Nelson on July 1st.
10am: Watch the landing of the dugout and sturgeon-nosed canoes as the paddlers arrive on the beach at Lakeside Park at the end of their journey from Kaslo.
10:45am: Join a community circle dance around the big drum
