1900 - The Nelson railway station was built by the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1900. The 2-story, wood-frame, railway station is located near the lakefront to serve as an important meeting point between rail and steamboat transportation. The heritage CPR railway station appears momentarily in the 2012 film "The Tall Man", as the camera pans seamlessly transitioning from a Nelson landmark to the streets of downtown Ymir.
